In a recent development, Israeli officials have confirmed the evacuation of their diplomats from Turkey, including Ambassador Irit Lillian. The decision to withdraw these diplomats is primarily based on security concerns and is not a politically motivated move.
This move comes in the wake of a series of protests that erupted outside Israeli diplomatic missions within Turkey. Some of the demonstrators attempted to breach the Ambassador’s residence in Ankara and the consulate building in Istanbul.
In addition to the evacuation from Turkey, Israeli diplomats in other Middle Eastern nations, including Jordan, Morocco, and Bahrain, have also left their respective posts due to similar apprehensions.
Earlier this week, Israel issued an advisory urging its citizens to depart from Turkey, citing concerns about potential retaliatory attacks.
