Breaking News: Russian Plane Crash Suspected to Have Claimed Life of Wagner Leader Yevgeny Prigozhin

In a recent development, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the private military company Wagner, is believed to have been among the casualties of a tragic plane crash in Russia. The crash, which occurred in the Tver region, north of Moscow, claimed the lives of all passengers on board, according to Russia’s civil aviation authority.

Initial reports from a Wagner-linked Telegram channel called Grey Zone suggested that the Embraer aircraft may have been brought down by air defenses. The jet, en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg, was carrying seven passengers and three crew members.

Notably, Prigozhin had previously led an unsuccessful mutiny against the Russian armed forces in June, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Eyewitnesses in the vicinity reported hearing two distinct explosions before the plane’s tragic descent, accompanied by the sight of two vapor trails. Tass news agency further reported that the aircraft caught fire upon impact with the ground, and rescue teams have already recovered four bodies. Astonishingly, the aircraft had been in the air for less than half an hour before the catastrophic event.
